This week on 13 March, anti-fracking protesters stopped two supply tankers visiting Cuadrilla’s Preston New Road site by climbing onto the roofs. The first was before 9am and the second in the afternoon.

Opponents of Cuadrilla’s operation told The Blackpool Gazette the protest followed the failure of police to allow campaigners to carry out agreed 15-minute slow walk protests in front of supply vehicles.

On Friday this week campaigners held a Friday against Fracking event outside the Preston New Road site.

The protest was the day after a case ended at the High Court in Manchester challenging permission for the site granted last year by the Communities Secretary, Sajid Javid.

A new Protest camp, the New Hope Community Action Camp, was set up this week near to the planned PNR site

Next week, 0n Wednesday 22, there will be an ‘On yer bike Cuadrilla’ Protest event at Preston New Road fracking site to reclaim the cycle lane, 8am-6pm, Little Plumpton, nr Blackpool, PR4 3PH.
